When one story ends, a whole different (and somewhat similar) story begins. Filled with stories you didn't know or here, where it tells more than what you DIDN'T HEAR in Coal Miner's Daughter (neither in book/film).


In Still Woman Enough, Loretta Lynn gives a NO HOLDS BARRED account of the life of this TRUE country LEGEND.


There is ALOT you don't hear about in Coal Miner's Daughter, a lot of people aren't given their do and appreciation. This book 'Still Woman Enough' helps complete that equation. While some stories may be old and some may be new to hear, they're all exciting to read in this book just the same.

Extremely  HARD Battleships came on in later years such as First - losing her son in 1984 and 2ND watching your husband FIGHT for his life after being with them through HARD Battleships since the age of 13 (43 years together) in 1989. Initially losing the battle in 1996 (50 years together). Even after all of this/that, Loretta is still woman enough.

The stories you hear from Loretta - personally. The REALLY Great HIGHS followed some TEARFULLY HEARTFELT SAD  and unforgettable moments. (Reading this book, you'll see what I mean!)

21 Years Gone:The Autobiography

This next book comes from one who has been there, seen it and done it all. From the young perspective of what HE has seen and lived through comes the story of Jack Osbourne.


Starting w/ the venturing through consistent school changing and battling w/ learning disablilties didn't help, neither did the schools he attended as you read on. Being the son of a celebrity had some advantages at school, but it also came w/ ALOT of disadvantages, with what began as titled "social experimentation" escalated into something more.



Life was ALREADY unnaturally sweet prior to the beginning of filming The Osbournes, but soon after.   .   .

At  the HEIGHT,  of The Osbournes life came crashing quick for Jack when it came to the worst and becoming a DEEP DARK sea of depression to the point of ALMOST NO RETURN!! Throwing himself LITERALLY day-after-day into drugs & alcohol to forget the world of REALITY that hit him HARD!!


It was what had been seen through the rehab and his dad's uncontrollably emotion HE was DETERMINED
to make sobriety work. With sobriety a go, Jack needed to find himself something else for stimulation/excitement, and that's where he found himself a brand new high - rock climbing. With strong will and determination, he felt the need to climb the mountain - El Capitan! With that completed success behind him, he feels/felt his life became just that - a Genuine Achievement.

This book can teach you the realities of addiction and motivation and sheer willpower that facing your demons head on that the past DOES NOT have to become the present.

I Loved This Book and found it to be REMARKABLY REAL!!!

(As what I have talked about w/ anyone, Ch. 4 of this book says it too!)

The reason I don't do anything, w/ experimentation, or anything of the sort, is that addiction runs in the bloodlines. Ch. 4 says it all!!

If You Have To Cry Go Outside . . . And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You

This next book speaks from one of New York's head of PR and reality TV from both Bravo and MTV, Kelly Cutrone. From her start in Syracuse to NY to the world, she boldly and ballsy tells you her story and what it took for her to get where is.

The End Result:

I Absolutely LOVED This Book!

This book and the lessons Kelly delivers are just that - Things Your Mother Never Taught You!

One thing I did find kind of comforting to know was that even powerhouses, such as Kelly Cutrone; had mental self-doubt about their life and situations. At times when it feels like all the fears are gone, in the back mentally it's all still there!

She GENUINELY goes in with a balls-to-the-wall attitude. For example, she was COMPLETE and FULL prepared to be a mother. "If I'm meant to do this on my own, that's Fine, so be it!"

While at times she may be perceived as a huge bitch, she does WHAT SHE CAN to help you, like  any mom would, minus holding your hand throughout the business.

She empowers women to break the mold and DO IT TRUE!! Do NOT follow stereotypes (starting w/ Disney and leading to Sex-And-The-City). If that's what you're into fine, but DON'T DO IT just because "you should!"

I LOVED THIS BOOK! And The Messages Expressed and Passed On Throughout It's Entirety!!

After reading this book,

One thing that makes me feel like SHIT is seeing little girls be thrown LITERALLY into stereotypes of Princesses and Fairy tales that may or may not be suited FOR THEM!!

Here's a question for you:

If you're a mother w/ children, is it common or normal to act as one outside of just YOUR children?

Ex. - The kids in the neighborhood, you become the town mom?  OR   If you're a boss, looking out for or helping employees outside of the job?

The "mom" switch NEVER turns off?

Is that normal or common?

Start Of 2011/ Become Your Own Matchmaker

This is the first book to ring in 2011. This book was considered a "hand guide" to help those with finding their perfect match. It was written by one of Bravo's notorious matchmakers, Patti Stanger, who she herself is of a third generation. In this book, she boldly tells you how to examine what you want in a relationship, where to find them - specifically, qualify to see if it's what you REALLY want from that person. From the first steps of infatuation to buying the ring, she tells you how to (in layman's terms) "hook, line and, sink them".

I know it may sound weird to some that I wanted and read this, but well .     .     . read on!

I know it may sound crazy but..

Reading this book got me to understand what the dynamics are to relationships. This is to guide you to have a full-filling "relationship".

BUT,  this can relate to other relationships throughout your life.

If you don't/aren't in a relationship, this book can help you to understand more if you take out one substance and adapt it to ones you need help w/ or are disconnected to. 

I had initially wanted to to read this book to read and find out the back story of the author, Bravo's Patti Stanger A.K.A. The Millionaire Matchmaker.

But, I walked away with much more!

End Of 2010

Well, this obviously concludes the end of books read in 2010. Just wait until next year w/ a whole new catagory of authors and characters for enjoyment or learning experience. Some of these book were pretty obvious that they weren't read within this year's time frame, some were read early on, but have stuck with me and I wanted to share w/ you those books, authors' stories and, lessons as well. I hope you've enjoyed some these or all of  these as a year draws to a close. Just wait to see what books are in store for 2011. Thanks to those who became a follower. Charlie St Cloud

This next book was one of the stories of what it means for how much a little brother means to his older one. Charlie St Cloud  is a fictional story that starts out when an accident takes the life of Sam St Cloud and the guilt that his older brother, Charlie, survived. Throughout this story he learned how to live, love, and find a way to forgive himself  and move on.

The  End Result:

I Loved this book!

It can let you invision what life would be like if we got to see or even hang out with those that have died and we have lost.

The way Charlie never lets himself forget how much his brother meant to him and how he learned to forgive himself and let go of what's gone.

A film version was released in early 2010 starring Zac Efron as the title character of Charlie.

Finding Fish

This book tells the TRUE story of Antwone Quinton Fisher. His life story tells of a cruel and harsh beginning of foster care, due to his mother giving him away to Social Services. Through the hands of his foster mother, Antwone's story tells of harsh physical, mental and, sexual abuse he had to endure.

While sustaining the abuse, Antwone never had that need to be ungrateful. Eventually, Antwone did find his own freedom and joined the Navy to escape these harsh realities of this once frightful life. There were periods in Naval life that Antwone's past seemed to catch up w/ unresolved feelings by starting and creating fights simply out of nowhere.

Resulting  in Naval consequences and wanting Antwone to eventually see a counselor, he sought out the counselor's advice to find his own belonging.

The  End  Result:

I LOVED this book!

The journey this story takes Antwone when most people would look as the past as a F U!

He looked at it as a missing puzzle piece and he was DAMN WELL determined to find the proper fit.

But what he found .  .  . now that was DAMN NEAR incredible!! The title of this book itself says it all.

In the end:

I Loved This Book!

This book was published in 2001 and one year later in 2002 a feature film was made starring and directed by Denzel Washington and Derek Luke as the title role of remarkable Antwone Fisher.

Diana: Her True Story

This next book was truly a FASCINATING read. It speaks from the words spoken by Diana, the Princess Of Wales. It was actually "written" by famed biographer Andrew Morton. She speaks candidly about feeling unwanted as a child; first by her gender then a ship-off to boarding school didn't help.

Her relationship w/ Britain's Prince Charles, even though prior to their "relationship" Charles waved Ms. Camilla Parker-Bowls in her face. Diana was "TECHNICALLY" used to produce an heir. Even though Diana was DAMN WELL DETERMINED to ACTUALLY be a mother to her children. Leading up to the end of what to do w/ her marriage!




The Final Result:


I ABSOLUTELY LOVED This Book!

One thing was for sure, no matter what the world threw in her face, she may have fallen down, BUT, she always managed to TRULY rise above, be herself, the mother she wanted to be and, charitable to those close to her and the world.

Coal Miner's Daughter

You know who she is. You know the movie. Now read the book in which this story is based. This book features the ACTUAL TRUE story of one of the LEGENDS of country music, Loretta Lynn. Written by Loretta herself, along with George Vecsey.

From her struggle(s) in Butcher Hollow, KY to the richness of TN. Loretta tells IN HER OWN WORDS/IN HER OWN WAY the life she lead - so far.




The End Result:

I LOVED this book!

With her high-and-lows she shows it all in this INCREDIBLE book.

A movie was based on Loretta's life shortly after the book came out w/ the same title starring the remarkable Sissy Spacek.

Louder Than Words: A Mother's Journey In Healing Autism

This next book was written by model, actress and New York Times Best Selling Author Jenny McCarthy. She speaks of hard truth in finding out her 5-year-old son, Evan has autism. She talks about the diagnosis, the struggle she went through as a mother to help her son, to finding the key that eventually helped him lead a more "normal" life.




The End Result:



I found this book to be emotionally gripping that bears to answer the question for a mother who struggles alone with a sick child "How do you do it?"
With a reply being "You just do what you gotta do!"
This book helps to understand that meaning.


Okay, I admit it, this was the first and only book I've read by Ms. McCarthy. I wasn't really interested in the other 2 books. I was interested in the successful struggle that she had to go through with her child.

While somewhat relating to this story, a mother tends to be there for her sick child, while her husband/partner was pretty much useless in these matters, having to go through this journey ALONE & BY YOURSELF!

It bared to ask the question:

Why do children w/o problems w. autism have no help to children with SEVERE setbacks?


I Loved This Book and Valued Every Page Read!


What a mother ACTUALLY goes through to help and see her child succeed for a happy and healthy cure at life.
